In recent times it has come to my attention that - after a few years in the wilderness - the art of good housekeeping is making a comeback. And it seems that the "new" or "modern" man is leading the way.
In times where women are, quite rightly (in my humble opinion), being placed on an equal footing with men, the "stay at home dad" has become prevalent in communities all over the western world, and even beyond.
Now, instead of being covered in oil, they are being covered in baby puke, instead of changing tires, they are changing nappies. Men are now taking an interest in cleaning tips rather than betting tips. This sudden interest in the running of the modern home has accelerated over the last 10 years and is a far cry from the days of yore, when men would bash their women over the head with a club, and whisk them off to their caves.
Although some men will always be "men's men", and will probably never change their views about the roles within domestic life, they are (gladly) fast becoming the exception to the rule.
This change can only be a good thing, and serve to create a more rounded community to live in; with these changing of roles, a possible reduction in the divorce rate may ensue, as both, men and women gain a clearer understanding of each others psyche, well, we can always dream!
If you're a "new" man the One Pair Of Hands (OPH) is the place for you.
